CYCLE PORQUEROLLAIS WAS FOUNDED IN 1974
Our shop is situated at the entrance to the village, in a building with the architectural style of 19th century seaside resorts.
Cycle Porquerollais proposes a range of bicycles for the whole family.
For children that are not old enough to have their own bike, we have child seats, mountain bike trailers or piggyback add-ons. Mountain bikes with integral suspensions, as well as Tandems are available for keen enthusiasts.
OUR SHOP IS OPEN YEAR-ROUND, EXCEPT ON DECEMBER 25TH AND JANUARY 1ST
Our opening times depend on the season and follow the ferryboat timetable. In the winter, we are closed from 12:45pm to 2:30pm, we are available non-stop throughout the day during the rest of the year.
SOME HISTORY...
1974: minibikes were everywhere. They were not well-suited to the Porquerolles environment, nor to the riders’ comfort, so we quickly changed our pool to propose ‘big bikes with 650 wheels’.
1976: news from the USA mentioned strange boys riding funny bikes with large tyres, racing down steep hills at top speed. The Mountain Bike was born and was here to stay.
Today our pool includes latest generation electric and non-electric mountain bikes featuring latest technology by brands Specialized, Moustache, and Cannondale.
